MINI Countryman Untamed Edition: The MINI for Gravel, Rooftop Tents and Adventure.

MINI is taking the Countryman off-road. With the new Untamed Edition, the brand's largest model gets taller, tougher and fully geared for the outdoors – complete with a rooftop tent, a camping collection and the first matte production paint in MINI's history.

More Ground Clearance, More Grip

The Untamed Edition's suspension sits 15 millimetres higher than on the regular Countryman. Depending on market and drivetrain, ground clearance increases by up to 19 millimetres. Approach and breakover angles have been optimised, and ABS, DSC and steering have been retuned.

Traction comes from Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres on exclusive 19-inch «Untamed Edition Spoke» alloy wheels. On the relevant variants, MINI ALL4 all-wheel drive is added to the mix.

Combustion and Electric

Depending on the market, the edition is available for the following variants:

MINI Countryman D
MINI Countryman S ALL4
MINI Countryman E
MINI Countryman SE ALL4

That means the Untamed look is also available fully electric – and with the SE ALL4, even as an electric all-wheel-drive model.

Rugged Exterior

Visually, the Untamed Edition clearly stands apart:

Redesigned grille with vertically oriented geometry
New side sills, front and rear underbody protection elements and a redesigned rear diffuser
Matte black protective film on the wheel arches, side sills and Power Dome
Dark Steel accents and an Untamed logo with a stylised mountain motif on the C-pillar

Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue and Frozen Nomad Blue are exclusive colours for the edition, complemented by Nanuq White and Midnight Black. Frozen Nomad Blue marks a milestone: it is the first matte exterior paint in MINI series production.

Interior with Outdoor Character

Inside, sports seats in Vescin Nightshade Blue with knitted surfaces and the Untamed logo set the tone. The instrument panel and door trims feature knitted surfaces in Millennial Melange, combined with Dark Steel and Cornflower Blue accents. The redesigned centre console gains elastic straps inspired by modern outdoor gear. Robust rubber floor mats and a matching boot mat complete the package.

Rooftop Tent and Camping Collection

The real highlight for adventurers: together with Italian specialist AUTOHOME, MINI has developed its own rooftop tent – featuring a handcrafted hard shell, panoramic openings and weatherproof materials. It is joined by an exclusive MINI camping collection with HELINOX.

The numbers behind it: the roof load is up to 75 kilograms while driving and up to 300 kilograms when stationary. With the optional tow hitch, the Untamed Edition can pull up to 2,000 kilograms.

Launch and Price

Production starts in November 2026 at the BMW Group plant in Leipzig, with the market launch following from early 2027. In Germany, the edition costs a surcharge of 4,700 euros. Swiss prices have not yet been announced.

With the Untamed Edition, MINI shows that the Countryman can do more than city streets and motorways. The raised suspension, all-terrain tyres and all-wheel drive make it ready for gravel and forest tracks, while the AUTOHOME rooftop tent turns it into a mini camper. And the matte Frozen Nomad Blue alone is likely to drive plenty of orders.
